1. Registration Fees

2. What is covered by the registration fee?

3. Payment methods

The registration fee should be in euro and can be paid by:

BANK TRANSFER: you will receive written confirmation of registration by email only when the payment is credited to the congress account.

CREDIT CARD (American Express , Visa , Master Card , Eurocard): you will automatically receive a written confirmation by email when the payment procedure is sucessfully completed.

In any case, the last step of the registration procedure will summarize your choices before proceeding with the payment details.

4. Cancellation policy

 

In the event that a registrant needs to cancel their registration for the meeting, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • before July 31, 2008:
    full refund (bank handling charge will be deducted);
  • from August, 1 to August, 24:
    50% of payment minus bank handling charges;
  • after August, 25 (included): no refund.

In the event that a tutorial has to be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, then a full refund of tutorial fees will be given to all people who have registered and paid for that tutorial.

 

5. Travel Grants for PostDocs and PhD students
(US citizens only)


Travel grants are available for students and post-doctoral researchers who are US citizens. Up to seven students or postdocs will receive awards of up to $1500 US to reimburse meeting and tutorial registration, travel to the meeting (airfare must be ticketed on a US carrier), housing and meals while at the meeting. These funds are provided by a grant (5R13HG004195-02) from the US National Institute for Genome Research at the NIH.
Recipients for these travel awards will be selected from students who are US citizens traveling from the US, submitting abstracts before the June 10th deadline.
